1. Agreement to these terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Useno, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.

2. User accounts

You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your login credentials, and all activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly at hello@useno.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not share credentials in a way that gives another person unauthorized access. We may require account verification and may restrict access when necessary to protect users or the service.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Useno only for lawful personal, educational, or authorized professional purposes. You must not:

  • break any law or infringe another person's rights;
  • upload malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, probe security, or interfere with service operation;
  • scrape, harvest, or collect personal information without lawful authority and consent;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation;
  • use automated systems to overwhelm, copy, or exploit the service;
  • upload content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, abusive, or infringing; or
  • use Useno to send spam or facilitate discrimination, harassment, or fraud.

4. Useno intellectual property

Useno and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and original content, excluding content supplied by users or third parties. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these Terms. No other rights are granted.

5. User-generated content

You retain ownership of contacts, documents, notes, application records, and other content you submit. You grant Useno a limited licence to host, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the service.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit your content. Do not upload confidential or personal information that you are not authorized to store or use.

6. Third-party content and services

Useno may display job listings, employer information, links, or services supplied by third parties. We do not control or endorse third-party sites and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, hiring decisions, privacy practices, or terms. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own agreements.

7. Disclaimers

Useno is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, complete accuracy, job availability, interviews, employment outcomes, or that every defect will be corrected. Career information is general organizational support, not legal, financial, immigration, or professional career advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Useno and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunities, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid Useno during the preceding twelve months or CAD $100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Useno at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially violate these Terms, create risk or harm, or if required by law. Where practical, we will provide notice. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and governing law, will survive.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. We will post the revised version and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes will be brought before the courts located in Ontario, Canada.
